6/26/2018 1 Comment Jane Austen Tea PartyIt is a truth universally acknowledged that two girls with a penchant for tea parties must be in want of a Jane Austen theme. My bestie Victoria had a hankering for a tea party since it’s been at least a year since we last had one. Jane Austen sprung from my British mood lately. She loved the idea and we were both super excited to plan it—maybe a little too much because we both might have gone overboard as you will see below haha!

6/24/2018 0 Comments Second Grade Girl Capsule WardrobeIt’s that time of year again, and I’m trying to beat the back to school rush of July so I can enjoy the blur of what’s left of summer with my husband.
6/14/2018 0 Comments Summer Camp: Dinosaur WeekSummer is here! L made a list of things she wanted to learn about and do, and this week it’s all dinosaurs! Utah is such a great place to learn about them because there’s actually dinosaurs that have been discovered here, and work going on behind glass at the local museums. We started the week off with a trip to the library and borrowed a Dinosaur kit that included children’s books about dinosaurs, rented a couple of Land Before Time movies for fun, and found an amazing book by Google that showed lifelike illustrations of specific dinosaurs and their anatomical layers (muscle, bone, skin). L went through all of her books and just kept going- she wanted dinosaurs nonstop! She loved the songs in Land Before Time V (who knew they made that many!) and I thought the story was really cute. Read on for more activities we did.
6/13/2018 0 Comments Treasures Antique MallSo I met this amazing lady who’s become a dear friend. L hit it off with her daughter that’s the same age right away, too, so we love hanging out together. We have shockingly similar taste—we like the same type of art, we’re drawn to the same colors and vintage stuff, and we share many of the same interests. The first time she came over to my house she pointed out that we have the same stuff even down to the George Washington bust... We’ve often talked about shopping for antiques or vintage items, but it wasn’t until my husband left me for 3 days with the kids that I got the itch to make it happen.
6/8/2018 0 Comments Walker is One Year Old!Our baby is officially a year now! This past month he has loved sleeping with just his diaper on. He’s been pushing his walker, riding the paddle board at the pool with Daddy, crawling around at the splash pad, and eating all his food with his fingers—and lots of it. His newest thing is shouting—like, really loud—at the most awkward times like during a very spiritual respectful moment in church. He is all about being included in the sibling activities, and loves playing catch and throwing balls! It’s the cutest thing ever when he plays catch with Daddy.
6/4/2018 0 Comments The Birthday Boy is Three!Three years ago, a miracle was born into our family at 30 weeks old. He was a fighter who didn’t let how little he was stop him from learning and thriving. He had jet black hair and light eyes, and the nurses all swooned over how handsome he was. Even now everything he does still melts my heart. He can’t just laugh or run normally; he has to do it in the most fun and cutest way possible. Since he loves all things transportation, we got him his own Little Tikes CozyTruck for his 3rd Birthday. He loved riding around in it and even giving his baby brother a lift!
