4/24/2019 1 Comment Books for EasterI let my husband take the lead on holidays like this because he loves passing on traditions that he grew up with and making things fun for the kids. Without him I would totally be that parent that doesn’t buy any candy or bother to dye eggs or fill baskets because it’s altogether secular, commercial, and inconvenient... but my kids are lucky and have a father that sees beyond my pragmatism.
4/16/2019 0 Comments Spring Break StaycationWe made such great plans for Spring Break, like working on the house and organizing for spring cleaning. When it came time to actually doing it though, we chose to wait on the work and have fun every time. Break was really action-packed! It’s helped us to start some happy traditions like going outside everyday. Check out our adventures below!
4/8/2019 0 Comments Kids Update April 2019I haven’t had an update on the kids in a while! They are growing in many ways and it’s nice to remember some of the highlights since they change so quickly...
4/4/2019 0 Comments Science PaloozaWe joined up for a double Mommy-daughter date to the Science Palooza in Provo, and my kiddo said it was “Blast-tastic!” From interactive activities about space, a mad scientist show, an animal presentation, exhibits using science experiments, robotics demos, and more... this place was kid heaven for all things science! We spent 5 hours here for $5 per kid and free accompanying adults, and we will definitely be coming back if they have it again next year. Check out photos below!
4/1/2019 0 Comments DIY Little Passports: IrelandWe’re visiting the “Emerald Isle” of Ireland in March for the World Explorer Club. I have a personal interest in all the places we discover, and Ireland is one of my favorites! Since my daughter loves science, there’s a glass prism included so we can study light/rainbows as we also check out stories about leprechauns and rainbows in Irish folklore!
We look forward to the St. Patrick’s Day Party all year long! It all started with our BFF’s sharing a pot of corned beef and cabbage with us in our little apartments, and Jeremy making his famous mashed potatoes to go with it. Back then we maybe had one kid each, and since we lived just a couple of doors down from each other we could walk back and forth between our kitchens and living rooms. This celebration of family, friends, and delicious Irish food kind of grew and took on a life of its own!
