9/29/2018 0 Comments They Grow Too FastWe've had some family highlights I'd like to share. If anything it's reminded me how quickly time is going. These children are all so precious to me. I could never have imagined what an adventure motherhood would be—and I'm not even near the end here! When I was young I wondered how there could be enough love to go around for every child you have, and now I've found that somehow your heart just grows a few sizes up and you love each one just as fiercely and just as deeply, all the same way yet all so very differently. Student of the MonthIt’s the first month of school, and my little girl was selected from her class for kindness! It was a surprise, so we got a call to come to school and they were cheered on by their classmates and loved ones as they “stampeded” throughout the halls on their mustangs (school mascot). So much fun, and L was thrilled that we showed up. She is such a thoughtful and wonderful child, we are truly blessed!

9/22/2018 0 Comments Happy 9th AnniversaryMy sweetheart and I have been married for 9 years now! We have been looking forward to our anniversary weekend for weeks since we booked our favorite spot in Salt Lake City overlooking the Capitol building from a wonderful bed and breakfast called Inn on the Hill. Since he worked all day and night on our actual anniversary, this celebration getaway was a much needed renewal for us. It was so much fun being out with my hubby and going out doing simple things that make us happy together. We even discovered our new favorite restaurant!
9/15/2018 1 Comment Mermaid Birthday PartyGrowing up, my favorite character was Ariel the Little Mermaid, so the child in me was jumping up and down at everything at my niece’s Mermaid themed birthday party. It took months of preparation since all the food and gorgeous details were handmade with love by her Mom (Ashley), but seriously a picture is worth a thousand words here. We were transported to an underwater world of balloon bubbles, jellyfish lanterns, hanging seaweed, and a giant clam shell shaped floatie to celebrate an amazing little Mermaid turning 3! My sister in law Ashley is so extra and I wanted to just hug her guts out knowing how much work she did and how magical it turned out.
9/12/2018 0 Comments RamblingsMy days have been filled with alternating baby screams, cleaning up random messes (today was finding my preschooler unplugging the toilets with a plunger), putting away cars and LEGOs every hour, and having just enough energy to run a couple of errands before working on orders, then throwing together dinner in 10 minutes a half hour past bedtime. Yeah, I'm kind of a mess and probably don't have any business blogging right now, but I'm hoping the thoughts inside might find their way out and I might have the clarity or motivation to keep plugging along. A Few HappeningsI should have written a post on each of these, but here we just get the headlines:
My amazing sister in law Ashley put together all the details for this adorable first birthday party for her twins! She could be a professional party planner because everything was spot on. The twins’ room is an outdoor adventure theme, and their first Christmas tree had a bunch of flannel ornaments so it was a fun transition to make their first birthday Lumberjack themed in red and black. All the guests came in plaid to celebrate.
