11/30/2018 0 Comments Greenery Baby ShowerI have some amazing sisters in law who are just so sweet and creative. We all love Ashlyne so much, who has 3 boys already, so when she announced that they were pregnant and it was a GIRL we all got crazy excited! Her Pinterest board was full of stylish greenery for the baby room, so that’s what the shower theme was. My sister in law Alyssa hosted at her beautiful home, and Ashley did an amazing job helping with decorations and food. Ashlyne’s sisters in law Paige and Ashlee also did lots of decorations, games, food, and a gorgeous funfetti cake with succulent decorations. Her BFF Meg also helped out a ton with partyware and thank you notes. I was so happy they let me do some printed stuff including the invitations. It all came together so nicely!

11/29/2018 0 Comments DIY Little Passports: RussiaIn September, a special package came and my Little Explorer was thrilled. The “World Explorers Club” had finally sent her latest adventure from Russia! It was a struggle for me this month because I had so many great plans for craft activities (like a Snowflake ballerina) that I didn’t have time to go to the copy store and do, so I put it off. I actually ended up running out of renewals for the library materials, and had to re-check them out.
The tree is my favorite part of Christmas! Our first year of marriage, I tried to convince my husband to get an artificial one because that’s what I grew up with and I liked being environmentally friendly. However, he’s a real tree guy, so we got a permit and went into the forest, chose our tree, cut it down, brought it home, decorated it with our mismatched and plastic ornaments, and even though the ornaments weren’t too fancy our tree totally was... I felt like it was an experience I could look forward to every year—a different tree every year reflecting the changes in our family. I got hooked to the real thing.
11/11/2018 0 Comments 10 Days with My Little SisterMy youngest sister just got called to serve an LDS mission to our homeland the Philippines, and asked me to come to the temple with her before she leaves. I was like, “GIRL, you know it!” Lucky for me, she was all for flying out here for a visit (her first time in an airplane!). Our week together was filled with food, temple, shopping, and family. She drew the above cartoon in a thank you note before she left, and it's pretty much my new favorite family portrait!
