8/28/2017 0 Comments DIY Fabric Playhouse TutorialThis playhouse was completed Christmas 2015, so this tutorial post is a long time coming, sorry! I researched it and up to that point there were only tutorials and examples of playhouses you could put over a square card table. We had very limited space and only a round kitchen/dining table, so I set out to make a custom playhouse since we were planning on keeping the table forever. If I needed to convert it to fit a square shaped structure, I figured I'd just replace the top of it and put it over PVC piping for easy take down and assembly.

It's Back to School, and with our little girl growing out of all her clothes we've been fixing on a new wardrobe in a new size. We would buy only what she needs, plus there was a fun thing we had to follow called a budget. My daughter's tastes are changing along with her size— pink is out and blue is in! This year we were all about bright colors and girly skirts. I admit that most aspects of kid clothes shopping I stress about, so here are some things that have helped me this year.
8/20/2017 0 Comments Walker is 2 MonthsLittle Walker has been exclusively breastfeeding this month! He's grown out of his newborn sized diapers, too! He smiles after he's had a good fulfilling meal, and clings at the breast with his sweet little hand. I love being able to feed him without preparing, fortifying, and sanitizing a bottle. My favorite way to show him affection is to stroke his perfectly irresistible cheeks with my cheek.
He passed his oxygen test at the doctor's office and we're just waiting for a reading from the neonatologist that there's no apnea or murmurings going on at night. Bath time has become more frequent now that the equipment is not so cumbersome, about 2-3 times per week or however long the towels last. No wires and tubes also means more outfit changes! There were too many newborn sized onesies that he outgrew at the head or thighs without even getting to wear once, so I decided to change him as soon as one got dirty. I've found that my little boy likes to be clean, so when he's grumpy or can't sleep a good diaper change or bath will usually put him back in a good mood. 8/20/2017 0 Comments Missionary HomecomingUncle Travis (my brother-in-law) came home from serving a mission in Oklahoma for 2 years yesterday! We are so proud of him, and so happy to have him home again. Today he gave a homecoming talk in church, so naturally we got the kids all dressed up for the special occasion. Just wanted to share the cuteness.
8/5/2017 0 Comments Moana Luau Birthday PartyOur sweet little girl turned 6 years old a few days ago! She's been planning her party and looking forward to seeing everyone for months now. She made it very clear that she wanted there to be water and that she wanted to wear her favorite Moana outfit. With a brand new baby we had to keep things simple. The party was inspired by summer, the islands, and Moana—all the birthday girl's favorite!
